An Evolutionary Series of Information Modelling CONSTRUCTS

Created and explored in a series of projects – initiated by the Concept Demonstrator ‘The HNS Browser’ in 1986/7, originally picked up by IBM UK New Technologies Group at Hursley Park, Winchester (‘The GPE’ Project), and subsequently supported by Sun Microsystems, The Textile Industries Department at the University of Leeds, The Schools of English at the Universities of Leeds and Manchester Metropolitan, The Asian Development Bank, The School of Geography & The New Environment Centre at the University of Leeds, and The Leeds University Librarian.
From original ‘concept demonstrator’ in 1986/7 – a computer-based browsable schema with hyperlinks to definition, detail and reference – to the ‘Frameworks’ Methodology & Tool in 2024/5.

The ‘HNS Browser’ 1987
Based on the HNS Graphical Schema in 1986, a first computer-based concept demonstrator; SCHEMA as BROWSER; the fewest key elements; categorisation.
The annotation lines disturbed my aim os simplicity and minimalism in graphical representation.
